HISTORY
. The Nederburg winery was set up in the Paarl Valley of South Africa in 1791 by a German immigrant, Phillipus Woolvaart. In 1937, Johann Graue took over ownership of the winery and began to introduce state-of-the-art technology to every aspect of wine production.
The final step in establishing Nederburg as South Africa’s most famous winery was taken in 1956 when the winery was bought by Gunter Brozel. He set as his goal to produce wines capable of regularly winning major International awards. Indeed, he was the very first South African to win the prestigious International Wines and Spirits Competition Winemaker of the Year title.
Still today, Nederburg has won more awards than any other South African producer.
All Nederburg wines are made in small quantities from handpicked grapes grown in the finest areas of the Western Cape.

TASTING NOTE
Rich, bold and full-bodied, bursting with notes of berry and plum. Hints of vanilla spice and firm, but supple tannins. The Wine masters Cabernet Sauvignon is great with roast lamb, red meat casseroles, beef and venison, poultry and game bird dishes.
